Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil (preferably extra-virgin)
2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary or 1 teaspoon dried
1 large garlic clove, minced
1 1/2-inch-thick diagonal slices crusty Italian bread (each about 3x5 inches)

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Preheat broiler. Stir oil, rosemary and garlic in small saucepan over low heat until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

    Step 2

    Arrange bread slices on small baking sheet. Broil until golden, about 1 minute. Turn toasts over. Brush with oil mixture, dividing equally. Broil toasts until golden and crisp, about 1 minute. Serve toasts warm.
