Mint Simple Syrup

Ingredients

1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 bunch fresh mint, leaves bruised

Preparation

  1. Pour the water into a saucepan, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, add the sugar, and stir until it is completely dissolved. Add the mint, turn off heat, and cool completely. Strain before using.
